What a fantastic story about Lynch! I have been a fan since Wild at Heart and have seen most of his movies in the theatre. The Straight Story is one that most people don’t remember, but it is really good.💕
I think probably because sometimes I wonder if it actually happened or if I had just hallucinated the whole thing! Like, going to interview David Lynch but instead of talking about film or art or his life he just wants to talk about sandwiches sounds like a dream I would have!!!
Oh my gosh, I’m so with him on all the particularities. Especially: Everything should be contained and not spilling out. I also love that he plans his day around when the milk shake at Bob‘s Big Boy will be just the right texture, I totally plan my life around stuff like that!
Lunchian
lol well-played
it is hard work and messy, but it's worth it

Gotta agree with crispy bacon.
I love The Straight Story!!!! That last scene with Richard Farnsworth & Harry Dean Stanton ... just so beautiful and true.
I love that your experience with David Lynch was completely Lynchian.
I KNOW! Haha. The perfect Lynch encounter.
I love this, I love him.

Love this, Raquel, a perfect tribute, and how amazing you met. Now I want a BLT and a cup of hot, black coffee. RIP, David Lynch ☕️
Yes!! Have been craving a sandwich for days … maybe a slice of cherry pie too
Definitely! 🥧
Great story!! So Happy you had the experience of meeting David Lynch and delivering such a wonderful and memorable piece.
Thank you, Dawn!
Raquel! We've bonded over our love of Lynch but I've never heard this story. I love it so much.

As far out as his movies are, it’s encouraging how down to earth and unpretentious Lynch appeared in interviews. For me, Lost Highway is my favorite.
